I Couldn't Believe My Ears!

P.S. This is my 30 week belly...

Okay, so we were getting ready to leave for church this past Sunday and I about fell over when Lui said, "Let's take a picture!" I was like, "Are you serious?" And by golly, he had already gone for the camera in my purse! So not only did he take a picture before leaving for church, but in the car, he took a KISSING PICTURE! I don't know what had come over him, but I wasn't complaining!

It's really been over 3 years!

Seems like yesterday...Lui's baptism day. I have this picture on our dresser in the bedroom, but I realized I don't have it in the computer. So I scanned it in and thought I would share it. It was definitely a day to remember.

Also, one of the bishopric members pinned us after sacrament and asked to speak with us after the block. I was positive that we were both getting a calling! Lui is so lucky I swear! I got the calling-he was just there so that he would confirm his support in my new calling. Well, I'm going to be team teaching with another sister a youth sunday school class. Not sure what ages yet, but I'm up for it. Hey, if I can teach sunday school in a singles ward I can teach any sunday school class! We took this picture before church this morning. You see my husband's face? It's like pulling teeth to get him to take a picture.

Celebrating Charlee

Char, Jennie (the one who put it all together), me and Lui (take special note of the shirt Jennie is wearing...her "nine" shirt)

About 3 years ago my 17 year old cousin Charlee died of a very rare form of cancer. Not only did she go on with her life after finding out, she embraced the disease and continued to laugh and play golf and the piano...even after her index finger (where the cancer started) was amputated. So you can get a better picture of this girl, she nicknamed herself "nine." You know that song, "Aint nothing gonna slow me down, oh no! I've got to keep a movin." If she had a theme song, that would be it. She was an inspiration to many--not only family members, but kids at school, church members and the community of Gilbert where her family lives. Well, there's a freshman at Gilbert High that wanted to honor Charlee, and her name is Jennie Lewis. Kent and Char (Charlee's parents) gave a few treasured items of Charlee's to Jennie. A few of these items were Charlee's bike and another was a pair of golf shoes. Well, Jennie was very inspired by Charlee. When she was on the course and maybe having a rough round of golf, she could feel Charlee was there with her, cheering her on. So she wanted to do something for Charlee. With the help of her parents, she came up with the idea of creating a scholarship fund in Charlee's name that would be awarded to students at the high school. This past weekend they hosted a wonderful benefit concert at the high school in order to raise donations. Jennie's goal was to raise $10,000.00 and she by far surpassed that. After the concert she found out she raised over $22,000.00!!! The night was filled with music, the Spirit, and a love for this young girl who touched so many lives in her short life. Charlee's mom has a quote on her living room wall that says, "It's not the years in your life, it's the life in your years." Charlee definitely proved that.

Miss You Mom...

This past weekend we went to Gilbert, and we were able to go see Mom at the cemetary. This is her beautiful headstone and a few pictures from my wedding day. I don't have a lot of pics of her, but these 2 are definitely my favs. It's been a little over 2 years now, and I still miss her everyday. I know she's up there, and I know she gave Baylee some grandma kisses before coming down. I just wish she could be here still. Love you Mom.

7 Months-what!

k, so do you think I look 7 months pregnant? Cause I don't!! I was talking to my Aunt Jane the other day and I told her I was 7 months, and she says, "Only 2 more months to go!" And I was like, "Well, whoever started this whole pregnancy thing needs some help with their math. Cause if my due date is April 25th, that's 3 more months!" Yes, I've learned that pregnancy really is ten months, not nine. And someone needs a math lesson.
