WARNING!

Okay, so I've been debating whether or not to put these pictures up. And after further consideration I've decided to go ahead and do it only because 95% of you who read this blog are mom's and have gone through this before. I wanted you to be able to relive your experiences through me!

I must have eaten something in the past couple of days that's really affected little Baylee's tummy. I've noticed when I feed her when it's really quiet her tummy will make noises. And last night when I was holding her there were lots of rumbles down below, but it turned out to be gas, cause when I checked her diaper she was clean. So anywho, this afternoon I'm sitting on the couch holding her just chillin watching Kate and Leopold. She was wrapped in a blanket and she seemed kindof fidgety. I thought she might be getting hungry again cause it was about that time. She had something totally different on her mind! I heard the explosion from down below...and then I FELT it...and then I SAW it! Holy poopy Batman! I was a little unsure of what to do first, so I grabbed the nearest burp rag, wiped up what I could, then carefully got up and headed for the bathroom. Took a few pics and got the girl all cleaned up. The rest is history. I know you mom's reading this can appreciate this experience this 1st-time-mom just had!!! (Sorry Lui--your towel was closest)

Just Some Random Pics

Her 1st time in the swing (that she didn't cry!)

I love this picture...

These ones are good too...she's getting so big--I can't believe it...Daddy calls her "chubby cheeks."

This is right after bath time. She almost looks scared in a couple of these pics. I think it was because she was kindof slouched over from being propped up on the pillow

She loves to watch t.v. (and be in control of the remote...just like her dad)

She typically falls asleep after bath time. I think because it relaxes her and she gets all warm and cuddly cozy with mom :) Precious

Am I so bad to take video of her while she's crying cause she's hungry??? You had to see her directing traffic and riding the bike!!!

Movies and a Weekend in Vegas

Movie Night! She was just chillin on the couch next to dad while we watched the movie. She fell asleep about 1/2 hour into it.

We went to Vegas over the weekend. We hung out with Lui's sister and on Tuesday Lisa watched Baylee and Lui and I went to the temple. Thanks again Lisa!

This is the newest INO in Vegas still under construction. It's on Blue Diamond a few blocks off the I-15 freeway. I put in for it, but I'm still waiting to hear. They said the opening is going to be around end of July, beginning of August; so if I get it, we'll be moving back to Vegas soon--probably to the Mountain's Edge area. We're not sure though.

She has already started to outgrow some clothes. It's crazy! I was folding her laundry this morning and found this one p.j. that won't even snap over her butt! And the legs go down to her knee, instead of her ankles--it looks so funny! Lui already started a drawer in her closet with the label "don't fit anymore." (it's hard to see, but that's what the little pink post-it says)

Finally Getting It After 5 Weeks!

Okay, so I think I'm starting to figure out my little girl...and yes, it's only taken 5 weeks!! As far as feeding goes...if we have to go anywhere or I have a certain time I would like to be in bed, I have to start feeding her 2 hours before. I know she is hungry because she will (and I quote) "ride the bike" and "direct traffic." (That's what my husband calls it cause her arms will go wild with her little fingers all spread out, and her feet will go up and down really fast!) She'll feed on one side for about 15-20 minutes then she'll burp. Which ofttimes takes FOREVER!! Then the other side for the same, about 15-20 minutes. Time to burp again. The thing is--I've figured out that when she needs to burp or still has a little bubble, she will fidget tons and her eyes will get really wide (that's if I'm holding her on my lap). If she's on my shoulder, she will lift her head up and look back and forth from side to side--over and over and over. If she's sleepy and isn't doing anything, I have to keep switching her from my lap to my shoulder to wake her up. Or I'll go change her diaper. After she has all her burps out, she'll start to "ride the bike" and "direct traffic" again, as if she's hungry. Well, I know she's not, cause she just ate TONS, so I'll pop the pacifier in and vwa-la! Her eyelids will start to get heavy and she'll get really still. this is the perfect time to take her in her room and sit with her in her glider and sing or just talk to her. Sometimes she'll look up at me and smile--that's when the 18 hours of hard work flies out the window and it all becomes worth it. If I put her down and she's not completely asleep, she'll fuss when the pacifier falls out of her mouth, so then I'll go and put it back in. Once again, her eyes will get heavy and she'll continue to fall asleep. Sometimes this repeats up to 7 or 8 times...

Figuring out all these little things about her have made things easier. I can plan a little better before we go to church, or if we have to go to the doctor. Which reminds me, we went in for her 6 week check-up (even tho it's only been 5). She gained 1 lb. 4 oz. and she grew 3 inches! Holy growing baby Batman! Doc said she's doing really well--breathing good, heart sounds good, etc. She got a shot
:( She cried for about 10 seconds then after I picked her up she calmed down. She's gonna be a tuff girl!

Well, here's the latest pics...

Her 1st trip to Wal-Mart today after the doctor--she slept the whole time!

Big stretches for such a little girl!

The other night when I was feeding her, this is how she fell asleep on my chest...face down with her little hands under her.

Bryant (one of my associates) and his girlfriend Kryssta (former associate) came over to visit

After bath time. She has what looks like a rash, but what doc said today are just the baby impurities still working their way out of her system. It's completely normal and nothing to worry about.

Over Memorial weekend we went to Vegas and stayed with Lui's sister, Leticia. On monday we went to PF Changs for lunch. She got hungry while watching us eat our rice and crispy honey chicken, so we had to bust out the bottle. The waitress was so nice, she brought us out a bowl of piping hot water to heat the bottle. 5 minutes later, Baylee girl was a happy camper!

This past week my sister Jenn and her little boy Reilly came to visit us. Here's a few pics...

Last Wed. my cousin Ann passed away after a 13 year battle with breast cancer. She was such a strength and inspiration to everyone who knew her. Lui was able to get a few days off from work so we traveled down to Gilbert for the services. Her 5 boys gave the life sketch and talked about some wonderful memories of their mom. There was beautiful music and the Spirit was very strong. I'm sure she has had some wonderful reunions on the other side with loved ones that have already passed on. She was buried about 2 rows away from my mom, so it was neat to be able to visit her as well.

This is my dad--he is such a rock and I'm so grateful for his strength and love.

Here are a few recent pics of Baylee...

This one was from this morning. She was hungry and was able to find some solace in her 2 middle fingers. It wasn't too long before she realized nothing was coming out!

This is her hiccup face...
