Good News From Doc!

So as you can see there are no more tickers on my blog. Today is my due date and we had an appt this morning. Finally we get some good news! I'm dilated to 2 cm which the doc was very happy to announce, cause the last 3 weeks have been, "Nope, nothing, sorry. See you next week." And I really didn't want to hear that again. And I didn't have to! He asked me if I wanted to come in on Sunday and I said, "Sure!" So, if Baylee doesn't come before Sun morn at 6:30, I'm being induced! It's exciting cause the day is actually set! We'll post some pics soon!!

This is me crossing the bridge going into Lauhglin-I was surrounded by bikers!

My boss Larry with his wife Cassie and oldest daughter Kirsten

This is Larry's rig...nice huh?

The guys next to us had some pretty nice bikes

This weekend is the annual Laughlin River Run. All I can say is there are bikers everywhere! We even get tons here in Kingman cause we're only 35 minutes away from Laughlin. All the rooms in Laughlin sell out, so they overflow into Kingman. Also, we have the famous Route 66 that runs through our town and a lot of the bikers like to ride it. On Thursday I went down and hung out with my boss Larry and his family. They take their motorhome and camp out for the weekend. We walked around a lot which everyone told me was what I need to do anyway to get this baby out! So that was good. Lui was working, so we went and visited him at the store and had some lunch. It was fun hanging out with everyone and seeing all the different bikes. I've never seen anything like it!

"Jack Squat"

Yup, these are the words out of my doctors mouth on wed at our appt. He checked again to see if i was dilated at all...and these were the words out of his mouth..."You're not doing jack squat..." Has your doctor ever said that to you? He then proceeded to tell me that I would probably be delivering between 41 and 42 weeks. WHAT??!! So we set up another appt. for next Fri (my due date)-no, not for an induction or anything-just to see how things are progressing. I'm a little disappointed cause I kinda just want her to come out and play. The other night Lui was reading to her and it was the cutest thing ever. Our doc is LDS and he speaks spanish and he told Lui, "Tienes que hablar mas en espanol!" ("You have to speak more spanish to her!") We'll see if that works. Tomorrow is my last day at work. I have mixed emotions. It will be nice to have a break, but at the same time my store is running really well right now and I don't want anything to happen. I'm confident in my Assistant Manager to run things while I'm gone, but at the same time a little apprehensive. I think anyone in my position would feel the same. My Divisional Manager has a numbers contest every month between the 5 stores in his division. The first 3 months I've taken 1st place which puts me in 1st year-to-date also. The closest store to me in points is double what I have. It's a great accomplishment, cause I'm pretty competitive and I love being #1! Well, that's about it for now. I'll keep ya updated...

The Finished Project!

Lui and I made our weekly trip to the doc this morning...same news as last week. I'm still not dilated. Soooo, we're still just waiting to see what's going to happen. I've been watching these shows on Discovery Health, and when the babies are born I find myself very emotional. I guess I just can't wait til Baylee gets here. Meanwhile, we've been getting the final touches done on her room. Here's the final look at the nursery. Pretty simple, but pretty :)

Team 201!

On Tuesday we had our annual INO softball tourney. I would have loved to be out there playing with my team, but all I could do was base coach :( And cheer them on of course. They've been practicing for a couple months and it showed! They played great. We won the 1st game against 104 (Lake Mead store), then we played 86. Yes, my old store. And yes, the team that has won the tournament the last 4 years in a row. (I was there for 3 of them!) I was pretty proud cause my team only lost by 4 runs. The 3rd game they played was a close one, but they ended up losing by 2 runs :( They were pretty disappointed. But hey, they represented 201 like champs!
